Disco Delivery on Strictly Confidential Radio

Just a little heads up for those who may be interested.. I'll be on internet radio this Tuesday, as this week's musical guest on the Head On Radio Network's LGBT program Strictly Confidential Radio with Peter Godbold. Considering some of their past guests, it's quite an honour to say the least.. We'll be chatting and playing some past Disco Delivery features plus some other things as well..

If you'd like to tune in, point your browsers to www.strictlyconfidentialradio.com and the 'Listen Live' link. I'll be on from 9 to 11 pm Eastern Time tomorrow - Tuesday January 22nd.

I believe it'll be a call-in show as well, so if you'd like to say 'hi', they've got a toll-free call in number as well. Hope you can tune in!

Special thanks to Bobby Viteritti and VJC of Disco935 for hooking me up!

Update: Unfortunately it sounds like a purse fell out of my mouth, but if you still care to listen, the podcast link is now up on the Strictly Confidential website (go to the calendar at the bottom of the page). Thanks to Peter Godbold for having me on and to VJC, Bobby and Enrique for calling in..

Ohh, that's great! Now I can say, sort of, that I'm friends with a real, live, radio personality. Goody goody, I'll be tunin' in, you betcha. Good Luck Tommy.

Tommy, I heard the entire show. I thought you did a stand-up job. Great selection of tracks for the show. I had no idea that you were so young. 22, wow! Your writing style is much more refined, than what would be expected of a 22 year old. That makes your blog and, your love of Disco Music, that, much, more, compelling. Again, CONGRATS on a job well done.

Despite my feeling quite old and unaccomplished now, your wealth of knowledge about disco is enthralling. Hopefully you weren't too embarassed by some of the commentary directed toward you during the show. The tracks were outstanding. I'll have to beg, borrow or steal to get down some Karen Silver recordings now. Could you post a list of the selection? There were a couple that I missed introductions for.

By the way, I wonder if you've heard of one of my Myspace friends D Va. Under the title "D Va Does Vinyl," she regularly posts interviews with disco pioneers in her blog section. I think she just added one with Tom Moulton. Check her out.

Thanks Enrique, Robert, Dungeon & M.E. Grant for listening in! :)

M.E. Grant - Nah I wasn't embarassed :) As far as Karen Silver's concerned, I feel like posting her second album sometime. When I do, I'll likely re-upload the tracks that I posted from her first album a couple of years back. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the selections!

I think I've heard of D Va. I think she posts as Dayna on the discomusic.com forums. I really enjoy the interviews she's contributed over there! I haven't checked her Myspace page, so I'll go over soon..

Anyway, the tracks (in order) that we managed to play on the show were:

Hott City - Feelin' Love
ABBA - Dame! Dame! Dame! (Spanish version of Gimme Gimme Gimme)
The Supremes - Come Into My Life
Karen Silver - Hold On I'm Comin'
Loleatta Holloway - I May Not Be There When You Want Me (But I'm Right On Time)
Asha Puthli - Music Machine (Dedication to Studio 54) (Richie Rivera Midnight Mix)
Agnetha Fältskog - Wrap Your Arms Around Me
